Je m'arrete: il y a un point a ma promenade
comme a une phrase que l'on a finie.
C'est le titre d'une tombe a mes pieds,
a ce detour ou le chemin descend.

De la je prends ma derniere vue de la terre,
j'envisage le pays des morts.

I stop: there is a point to my walk
as a sentence has which has been finished.
It is the title of a tomb at my feet,
on this turning or descending path.

Here I take my last sight of the earth,
I imagine the land of the dead.
